A Registered Veterinary Nurse, a lot of walkies, and a pack of much-loved regulars.
More Paws offers a wide range of pet services, carried out by myself, a Registered Veterinary Nurse of 10 years (with 5 years as an emergency critical care nurse). I am a friendly and caring professional with extensive experience in all domestic species, including reptiles and birds, and a passion for dog behaviour.
I left the veterinary industry in April 2021 for personal health reasons and decided it was time for a change! More Paws has since gone from strength to strength, gaining an excellent reputation in the local area and a fantastic, much-loved pack of regulars.
We are a fully licensed and insured boarding and daycare facility, offering a home from home service with a lot of love. You can travel in peace knowing your dog is enjoying their holiday just as much as you’re enjoying yours, with constant access to mental enrichment and a whole lot of walkies. The service is tailored to the individual’s needs, with a specialist service on offer for poorly pets requiring medication and special care.

Built for canine guests
My home has been fully converted to accommodate our canine guests, with access to their own TV for a bit of doggy YouTube, crates of multiple sizes, their own futon, and endless toys and chews!
We have a fully landscaped, very secure enclosed garden with a custom-built outdoor hot water shower. We also enjoy convenient access to miles of beautiful off-road rural walking, and regularly visit secure fields for a good play.
Safe, comfy travel
Our van has undergone extensive customisation, including a dual ventilation system for optimal airflow. We have a tailored crate system with plush bedding and strategically placed escape doors, ensuring both comfort and safety for your dogs during travel.
Collection and drop-off is available, and free for Hucknall and Bestwood Village.
Vet nurse consultations, right to your door
In addition to boarding and daycare, I also provide veterinary nurse consultations at your home. Nail clipping (including nail anxiety training), anal glands and advice clinics are just some of the services on offer.
